Russell Hunter Chosen As Matters of the Art's July Artist
Bucyrus, Ohio born and raised Russell Hunter, published by iUniverse, Inc., the leading
provider of publishing technology solutions for authors, announced today the release of Path of
Pieces by Russell Hunter with great enthusiasm. 'These are poems that will touch hearts and
souls and will last for a lifetime. It is life in a collision of beautiful unique words to let us all search
for our own souls." Kandee Hiesler, Professor in English Literature
In Path of Pieces you will see the pieces of my life; I like to call it the puzzle. I remember on
that cold wintry day when I dazed at myself in the mirror. I seen the cracks and the lines that all
came together to create who I am and who I have become. One by one, I started to put the
pieces back together by filling the gaps that left me feeling lost. I want for you and me, for us all to
see that it is never too late to believe. No matter what we have endured, we can overcome any
obstacle and continue to smile in the face of adversity. Although many pieces of my life are
broken beyond repair, I still care enough to write what I feel. From all the devastations to all the
beautiful creations, you will find a life filled with dream catchers and twisted trees; all these
emotions that make up me. Open the cover and you will see; you can find you and you will find
me. " A profound, adventuress journey of my life in word's", Russell Hunter.
Russell Hunter was looked upon as a special child. Winning drawing contest by the age of five
and being very creative beyond his years. He learned how to use this creativity throughout his
life. Even though being raised in an environment full of mental and physical abuse, Russell
learned how to reverse that pain and frustration into a positive energy. Although life was
challenging, Russell was never willing to give up. He always kept his mind focused on his path of
dreams.
He went on to graduate with a full scholarship to Pittsburgh Art Institute. He then decided to
further his music career, which lead him to travel to Atlanta Georgia. There he attended Atlanta
Institute of Music majoring in guitar. After attending music school, Russell returned to his home
town only to begin accomplishing another dream. This dream was to write a poem book that
symbolized the trials and tribulations he had experienced during his life. The good and the bad,
the happy and the sad; An adventuress journey of his life in word's.
Though talented in many ways, Russell's special interests involve drawing portraits, landscape
scenes, writing poetry, and playing guitar. Along with publishing Path of Pieces, he is also
producing a CD called Echoes of my Soul with songs that have already touched the souls of so
many people with the inspiration that we must imagine, believe, visualize, and create to form our
pure destiny of peace.
