He went on to graduate with a full scholarship to Pittsburgh Art Institute. He then decided to further his music career, which lead him to travel to Atlanta Georgia. There he attended Atlanta Institute of Music majoring in guitar. After attending music school, Russell returned to his home town only to begin accomplishing another dream. This dream was to write a poem book that symbolized the trials and tribulations he had experienced during his life. Though talented in many ways, Russell's special interests involve drawing portraits, landscape scenes, writing poetry, and playing guitar.
